Sunday mornings are for workouts in the park, especially if you’re asking celebrity Personal Trainer Bradley Simmonds, who has teamed up with pro footballer Joey Jones to launch You’re Fit Fitness Camps.
Rising early on Sunday hasn’t always been the preferred option for Brits, but after seeing the recent spike in enthusiasm, Joe and Bradley decided to launch their series of fitness camps in response to the growing number of people wanting to train outdoors… and a splash of sunshine.
“We thought it would be a great way to get people outside training with quality trainers and improving their fitness and a healthy lifestyle,” says Joey, who plays professionally for Woking FC.
“There are a lot more exercises you can do outdoors and you have a lot more space to do them,” adds Bradley – who trains a host of Made in Chelsea stars including Rosie Fortescue and Sophie Hermann.
Joey and Bradley, both football players from youth (for Chelsea and Arsenal respectively), have a host of fitness knowledge between them – and offer nutritional advice and encouragement as part of the You’re Fit Fitness offering.
Right now – the camps run weekly at Ealing Common on Saturdays and Bishops Park on Sundays, with two sessions starting one after the other at 9:30 (beginners) and 10:45 (advanced). The locations will expand as the weather warms up!
The pair (who we hope stick with their matching outfits) have designed a full body workout based on circuit training, where you work in twos on various stations for around 1 minute before moving on to the next. Then come the team races and fun exercise games! So great to attend with a partner or friends.
You’ll finish off (or be finished off) with a core and abs session, a good old stretch and a sigh of relief.
